The square captured in oils

The finished painting

You may have noticed a painter working at her easel in Arlington Square in late spring. Award-winning artist Melissa Scott-Miller was commissioned to paint the square by local resident Michael Foley. He says: ‘I met Melissa when she was painting in Prebend Street some years ago. I like her work and I have always thought that Arlington Square deserved to be painted.’ The finished painting shows the south-west corner of the square, with guest appearances by Michael and Arlingtonia’s two feline mascots, Bertie and Lili.
