Another year of music at St James’

The 2014 Islington Proms season at St James’ in Prebend Street opens on Saturday March 29 with the Cantallini chamber choir (above) performing Fauré’s Requiem and music by Bach, Tallis, Messiaen and Tchaikovsky. This is the third season of concerts at the church, which over the last two years has hosted vocal and piano recitals, chamber music, choirs, early music, big band jazz and an opera.

Most concerts start at 7.30pm, and most include a drinks interval. Tickets are usually priced at £10 (£8 concessions). A new website is being put together: look out for www.islingtonproms.org.
