Arlington Square Christmas Fair

  • St James Hall - Corner of Prebend and Packington Streets (map)

The Arlington Square Christmas Fair will be on Sunday, 8th December. PLEASE NOTE: Storm Darragh means the weather forecast for tomorrow afternoon is looking wet and windy. However, the Arlington Square Christmas Fair will proceed as planned with the only change being the venue. We are moving inside to the warmth of St James Hall which is on the corner of Prebend Street and Packington Street (opposite the Dentist). The event kicks off at 3.30pm with mulled wine, cakes and savouries. We will also have a homemade preserve stall, the perfect Christmas gift. Christmas songs start at 4.00pm and we should end the event around 5.00pm with the arrival of Santa.

Jen is running the ever-popular cake and savoury stall and will welcome donations from Arlingtonians, which can be brought along to the square from 2.30pm. If you need any plates returned please put your name and number on the bottom.

All the profits from the event will be donated to Pack Up who do fantastic work each Monday from St James Hall in supporting the street community. Their work to give a nutritious lunch weekly makes such a difference. So please give generously.

Pack Up will also have a table to receive donations for the Christmas parcels they will be giving to their service users at their Christmas lunch. Toni, who is one of the organisers, has asked if people can donate treats such as warm socks, chocolate, toothpaste, soaps, etc. They would also welcome donations of items they use each week such as tea, coffee, sugar and tinned goods.

We will have card readers at the event, but cash is also welcome. Please bring a torch and wrap-up warm. Any help packing everything away at the end will be much appreciated.

Look forward to seeing everyone at what is set to be a wonderful community event.
